You may already know the benefits of meditation, but where do you begin? Among the many styles of meditation, guided meditations are often the easiest place to start. You can simply find a comfortable seat, relax your gaze, and let the words flow through you. Which leads to the next challenge: where to find guided meditations that speak to you. One option is to explore the wide range of meditations available through Insight Timer, including practices led by me.
Insight Timer is an international platform that offers a wide range of free guided meditations, as well as premium content for paid members. I’ve used Insight Timer’s meditations and other tools for over ten years, and I’m excited to now give back to the community with my own meditations.
So far, the meditations I’ve published are available for free. You can listen through the website or app. You can also hear previews through the embedded player on this post. I’ve recorded these meditations without background music, so you can listen with your own music playing or in silence. When you use the Insight Timer app, you have an option to layer in ambient sounds or music (and adjust the volume of each layer).
As I build up my library, I may eventually offer premium content and courses. However, I always plan to have plenty of free options. Creating guided meditations brings my two worlds together, combining writing and teaching yoga.
