Williams Gap Book Fair Winter 2026

The day before the big winter storm of 2026, I was having a lovely time at Williams Gap Vineyard’s winter book fair.

This was my second book fair at Williams Gap Vineyard, after having a great time at their event last summer. While the June event was on their beautiful patio, this book fair was held in a cozy upstairs alcove.

With the forecasted storm, we were pleasantly surprised when the vineyard had a fantastic turnout with every table filled. While I’m sure many people had come for some wine and socializing before the snow, a steady stream found their way into the book fair. Including some returning readers whom I had met at the summer event!

The book fair was also a chance to meet some new-to-me local authors and catch up with authors I’ve met at previous events. Writing novels is a solitary pursuit, so it’s always nice to talk shop with fellow authors.

And, of course, we enjoyed some wine (beer for Peter) and their special flight of wine and cheesecake bites. Though I was so busy talking to people, I barely had a chance to take a sip. At one point, I even began to lose my voice. Not that I’m complaining–having nearly non-stop traffic at a book event is a great problem to have!

The next time you’re checking out Loudoun County wineries, be sure to visit Williams Gap Vineyard. They have a beautiful tasting room on scenic grounds and a wide range of events.
