While I’m waiting for the physical proof to arrive from the printer, here’s a first look at the cover for Healers and Thieves. Ta-da!
This is the first book in The Psychic Traveler Society Series. (Due to be available mid-April 2019.) Learn more about the book here.
I’m really excited about this one! Depending on how the physical proof looks, there may be some minor tweaks to the design. Otherwise, this is it!
The cover art was drawn in Procreate on my iPad Pro, with an Apple Pencil. It’s a customized tree of life design, which has significance in the story. (You’ll be able to read why very soon!)
I’ve seen many variations on the tree of life symbol, but this is the first one I’ve drawn myself. It was a little trickier than I expected.
I went through several versions before deciding where to put the branches and roots, how to draw the leaves, etc.

The back of the book includes a PTS logo, which I also drew in Procreate. I’m still relatively new to the app (and to digital drawing), but I’m starting to get the hang of the various brushes and features. From my amateur point-of-view, Procreate is a pretty powerful drawing app!
The physical proof will hopefully be in my hands next week. In the meantime, I’m off to finalize the interior layout and cover for the Kindle edition. Piece by piece, everything is coming together.
It may be tight, but I’m still on track for a mid-April release!
